Of Counsel – Michael Amtzis

Michael Amtzis received his undergraduate degree from the State University at Albany and his law degree from Emory University. He is a member of the Richmond County and New York State Bar Associations and is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, Georgia and Florida. For the past 30 years, Michael has represented developers as well as private and commercial lenders in legal matters regarding real estate.

Michael’s representation of real estate developers includes all aspects of residential and commercial new construction projects, including preparation of condominium and homeowner association offering plans, acquisition and sale contracting, governmental compliance, project financing, joint venturing, leasing and tax savings.

Michael has also worked extensively with governmental and quasi-governmental agencies, such as New York City Housing Partnership, New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development and New York City Economic Development Corporation, in all aspects of affordable housing including government participation financing as well as Federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and tax abatement programs. Michael’s commercial lender work has included representation of lenders and developers in acquisition and construction financing, lines of credits, SBA lending, permanent loans, securitized market financing and lender participation and financing.
